20 Feb The #1 Way To Get Over The Fear of Tax Lien Investing
So, the last day to register for the Lake County tax sale is Friday the
23rd and it looks like for the 2nd year in a row, many people are
“interested” and “want more information” but are too scared to actually
make it happen.
I have said it before and I’ll say it again – I’m not in the convincing
business. If you are looking for someone to convince you of why something
is a good idea, it’s probably something that you shouldn’t be doing anyway.
(Just my 2 cents anyway).
Only one of a few things will happen by attending the auction:
1) You decide not to register, but you decided to attend and you meet some
other tax lien investors and keep in contact with them so you all can
collectively increase your knowledge
2) You register for the sale, but don’t bid on any properties. In this
case, you get back your registration fee on the last day of the sale.
3) You register and successfully bid on some properties and subsequently
pass everything off to your attorney to help you complete the process
4) You don’t do any of the above and you find yourself stuck in the exact
same situation next year – looking on the sidelines.
This year, I’ll be buying properties at the auction but I’m also working
with a few individuals that want to invest in the auction but don’t have
time to do all the groundwork – so they’ve hired me to do it for them! It’s
a very different experience because now I get to really see what can happen
when you buy properties at higher price points. Of course, I’ll keep you
all posted on this process as well.
In my opinion, the #1 way to get over the fear of buying at the auction is
to actually attend the auction.
I hope to see you there.
