19 Feb Immigrants 4x More Likely To Become Millionaires?
I was listening to a YouTube video this morning by Nido Qubein and in the
video he talked about the fact that immigrants are FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY
to become millionaires vs natural born citizens.
4X more likely – isn’t that crazy?
I know there seems to be a prevailing myth (especially in the black
community) that immigrants receive all types of free assistance both
personally and in terms of starting a business.
But, honestly, the numbers just don’t show that.
There was another article I read recently that stated that the group LEAST
likely to be approved for business financing was Latina business owners.
Sometimes we forget that other people face tremendous hurdles and
challenges navigating life in the United States as well.
But, back to the statistics on immigrants – what are your thoughts? Do you
believe it’s an accurate statement or yet another person presenting wrong
information as factual.
Personally, I tend to believe it’s true just based on my experiences as an
entrepreneur for the last 11 years. Ultimately, what drives your actions is
your belief system.
And if you believe, (like a lot of Americans) that life is hard, life is
overwhelming, money is hard to come by and that it’s impossible to start a
successful business then you’ll act in ways that support your belief
It’s the perfect self-fulfilling prophecy.
It’s kinda like the people that reach out to me and they seem to almost
want me to convince them to start their property preservation business.
Well — I’m not in the convincing business unfortunately and it’s really
not my place to do that. I don’t really have a desire to do that anyway.
The people that I work with that are most successful are already convinced
– they just need a guide.
Anyhoo – check out that video on Youtube if you have 3 spare minutes and
let me know your thoughts.
P.S. – For those of you coming to Chicago, I’ll be seeing you soon! 🙂
